By just making a few changes in your lifestyle you can contribute to reduce the amount of marine litter in the North Sea. Talking to your friends about the marine litter problem and always bringing your garbage back after visiting a beach are two examples. |
Contribute to reduce marine litter
You can simply make a few changes in your lifestyle
- Take your garbage with you after visiting beaches or sailing
- Bring extra litter bags to the beach
- Adopt a beach or participate in a beach clean-up
- Join the Individual Blue Flag campaign
- Take children on a picnic to the beach and show them how to handle waste and litter wisely
- Save entangled fish line, which can trap birds and marine animals, and dispose of it properly
- Open up your new fishing gear packaging at home and not in your boat or on the beach
- Tell your friends that they can help
