Save the North Sea focuses on the ecological aspects of marine litter as well as the social and economic consequences. The aim is to contribute to a sustainable development in the North Sea region by changing the attitudes to marine litter among the target groups who uses the North Sea for work or recreational purposes. The project was run with co-funding from EU Interreg IIIB North Sea programme from May 2002 to December 2004.
