What is marine litter?

Print page Tell a friend

Winds and currents in the North Sea can bring marine litter from one country to another. A yoghurt container that is left on a beach in The Netherlands can end up on a beach on the Swedish West Coast. In the Save the North Sea project marine litter is defined as plastics, metal, glass and wood.
